Who or What is behind 'ARC'?
Short excerpt from a long article my colleague and I will publish in full very soon.
There’s been lots of talk about the recent event in London, promoted/hosted by infamous Christian, Canadian, psychoanalyst, Dr Jordan Peterson. The ‘Alliance for Responsible Citizenship’ (ARC) seemed, on the surface, to be a great initiative, an enormous success, a gathering of diverse ‘thought leaders’ (whatever that means), from across all disciplines and countries and cultures. We need to reclaim our humanity and true democracy! Hooray! Yes?!
But if there’s one thing that the last twenty-or-so years of research has taught me, it’s to look below the surface, at the individuals running these groups. Follow the money. We all want to see Freedom Movement groups make progress, gain networks and stable funding. We’ve been through hell and are desperate for some kind of solution. But really? Does ARC really look to you like an authentic, ground-up, ethical organisation, with genuine leadership we can trust?
Something doesn’t feel ‘right’ about it eh?
Even with the reinforcement of so many “freedom” leaders in attendance, posting their glamorous selfies of each other on their social media (But importantly, look who are conspicuous by their absence). So in this quick excerpt of a much longer piece
and I are completing, let’s start by taking a peep at the Advisory Board of ARC:Board of Advisors of Arc
Central to the new ARC Forum ‘Advisory Board’ are some familiar names of politicians, journalists, philanthropists, podcasters, musicians and academics, many of whom hold multiple inter-connecting roles in ‘partner’ companies. Conflicts of interests are too numerous to list. There are three past Australian Prime Ministers on the Board, alongside American presidential candidate and $billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy and numerous others from governmental roles. From the commercial sector, Alan McCormick is not only a Partner of the Legatum group which apparently co-funds ARC, but also Chairman of GB News. Billionaire Kiwi Christopher Chandler, co-founder of Legatum (a Dubai-based investment company and ‘think tank’) is also on the Board (more on that later). And Sir Paul Marshall is Founder and owner of UnHerd and a funder of GB News. We’ll look in more detail at these individuals and their companies/charities.
If ARC is intended to be:
“an international community with a vision for a better world”
…as Peterson claims, why are the same globalist puppets leading it? Are there still any poor souls left who are under the illusion that GB News in any way lives up to its slogan: “People’s Channel”? If so, they may be finally shaken from their slumber when they see the latest of a string of corrupt politicians to become a GB News presenter, yup, ex-PM Boris Get-Jabbed Johnson.
There’s no need to go into detail here about the various events in GB News’ short history but reports from a recent gathering in London alerted us to some naiveté that needs to be addressed. Why? Because the Freedom Movement is unlikely to make progress if individuals continue to be taken-in by well-rehearsed tactics from basic the Corporate Playbook. And one strategy of propaganda theory is controlled opposition, which is exactly what GB News is.
GB News Context
Conceived by Andrew Cole and Mark Schneider in 2019, it wasn’t until June 2021 that pro-jab MSM journo Andrew Neil became Chairman and began presenting GB News. But after only 3 months he left for ‘personal reasons’. Cole and Schneider left when funders Sir Paul Marshall and investment firm Legatum bought them out. We’ll turn to Legatum in our full article, first: Sir Paul Marshall (who just happens to be in the news this week).
Marshall’s bio blurb reads like many similar wealthy ‘philanthropists’ - his personal fortune is estimated at £680m according to the Sunday Times Rich List. His father was apparently a chairman at Oil-company-turned-BigPharma Unilever and Sir Paul was educated in all the right places where he undoubtedly would have mingled with the likes of Boris, Clegg and similar. His career included a role with Blackrock, before founding what was one of London’s first hedge funds, Marshall Wace LLP, with the help of GBP 25mill from George Soros. Marshall is currently chairman and chief investment officer of Marshall Wace, one of the world’s leading equity managers with >$60bn in assets.
Get aboard the ARC(K)
Now as an educationalist from Britain, I’m deeply aware of the various players that were involved in UK Government policy over the decades. Marshall was one those (depressingly) familiar names, hanging around various entities and events until he was eventually appointed Lead Non-Executive Director at the Department of Education in 2013. His role in the Education Policy Institute demonstrates the ongoing concerns many of us academics share about the unethical commercial interference that these ‘entrepreneurs’ and ‘philanthropists’ have on our public policy, law and local authorities. For instance, Marshall’s interest in Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) was clear early-on in that Conservative/New Labour paradigm shift. (NB If you don’t know about PPPs and the role they play in this mess we’re in, please do some reading on the topic). In 2002 Marshall co-founded the ‘academy’ schools project ARK (‘Absolute Return for Kids’). ARK’s early work included public health projects in Africa on HIV and AIDS as well as child protection initiatives in Eastern Europe. This history might raise concerns amongst those investigating these topics? Baroness Morgan, a former chair of UK education inspectorate Ofsted and one-time political secretary to Tony Blair praised Marshall, who in the past has donated to political fighting funds such as Gove’s Party leadership ambitions. And of course Gove was another cliche-ridden Keynote Speaker at ARC. A tangled web.
Over the years, controversy has come and gone over the media hype and glamorization of $multi-million fund-raising events for charity ARK, which included celebrities and royals. Conveniently for Marshall his sister works as an MSM journalist. ARK’s expansion has inevitably included developing specialist teachers’ training programmes and curriculum development, raising further questions about biased resources and the indoctrination of our children. (Blair’s Generation Global for Citizenship is another problematic WEF/Gates ‘learning platform’) In 2015 Marshall ‘donated’ $millions to the London School of Economics (LSE) to create an ‘Institute’ bearing his name that explicitly states its underlying objective is to promote the PPPs that have contributed to the regulatory capture of our institutions and infrastructure. Where is the critical thinking here?
I’ve written elsewhere how PPPs have led to the capture of our education systems and also how academia like LSE controls the narrative. Importantly, Marshall was ‘advisor’ to then Liberal MP Nick Clegg back in 2012. Nowadays, it’s no surprise to see Sir Nick Clegg is President, Global Affairs at Meta, exposed as central in the Facebook Files regarding censorship and propaganda from the Biden Administration during the covid era. Marshall was knighted in 2016 for ‘services to education and philanthropy’. Good job.
It's no secret that Brexit (which Marshall promoted and funded) was an opportunity for profiteering for many wealthy investors and politicians. (For my non-EU readers, some relevant context to Brexit here). There is plenty more to read about Sir Marshall, but suffice to say, he certainly does NOT fit the description of anyone genuinely interested in independent media that promotes free speech. In fact, he is about to buy more media platforms, why would this be?
For more details on the various actors and incidents at GB News, check out presenter Neil Oliver’s Patreon site (especially the comments sections) and also independent journalist Sonia Poulson’s recent presentation about events here (please support her legal costs fighting fund if you can):
I’ll leave it there for now. Stay tuned for the whole article, including the interesting context to the other key players to ARC, Legatum. You won’t be surprised to know that the connections include roles for BigPharma, the Gates Foundation, the WEF, New Zealand, Monaco, Dubai, Rwanda, and the CCP-owned Cobalt and Lithium mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
I feel bad for people who think Jordan Peterson is a good guy.
Even the very name, "The Alliance for Responsible Citizenship" smacks of National Socialism, as a term for the accepted members of the Folk Community, die Volksgemeinschaft. Given the leadership of Jordan Peterson and the presence of his sidekick Douglas Murray it is no surprise.
