Healthcare services are in crisis in New Zealand - so why are some mandated-out nurses still excluded?
Let's look at a case study where job discrimination based on jab-status continues.
I won’t repeat here the ongoing and growing concerns about the injections. It is now not in dispute (outside the ‘clown world’ of MSM) that the so-called ‘vaccines’ are highly ineffective (and always were) and increasingly recognised as dangerous. Top of the ‘dangerous’ list for many at the moment is the global independent evidence of contamination of the Pfizer vials with DNA.
However, if we can put all that aside for the moment, I want to focus on the numerous nurses (and other healthcare staff, too) who were mandated out of their vocations, careers and jobs in November 2021, and almost 2 years later, still cannot get work despite the healthcare system at near collapse.
Why is this?
When the New Zealand ‘vaccine’ mandates rolled-in, many nurses had their employment contracts abruptly and unfairly ended. The impact of this, financially, physically and emotionally, should not be underestimated and should never be forgotten. These individuals were often not provided with any opportunity for dialogue or compromise. Like many of us educators (and other public-sector workers/volunteers), we were treated like lepers and unceremoniously cut out of any emails or meetings, and prevented from entering our workplaces without the prescribed Nazi-era ‘papers please!’
Those memories are not going away.
I’ve published a post recently that explains that for newly-recruited healthcare workers (including those who were unfairly fired, but want [need] to get back to work), a ‘Pre-Employment Covid19 Vaccination Policy’ has been initiated (published 30th June 2023). Despite this ‘Policy’ stating that there was ‘‘current epidemiological and vaccination evidence” that supported the requirement for all healthcare workers to be jabbed and ‘boosted’ (usually 3 doses of Pfizer), the citation to back-up this claim was conspicuous by its absence.
So I asked via an OIA for that missing evidence.
The response was inevitably delayed many months, but when it eventually DID come back, it was Orwellian. The 5 articles it cited actually said THE OPPOSITE of the support claimed - ie the academic authors DID NOT SUPPORT any potential ‘vaccination’ mandate policy. Most were out of date anyway, and one article was discussing the ethics of the topic, rather than the scientific evidence. (No mention of Dr Aaron Kheriarty’s excellent book, though!)
(BTW I have queried this OIA response with the staff member who signed the OIA (Dr Neville Berry, Interim Clinical Lead for Te Whatu Ora Health NZ), and with the Government Ombudsman, so we will see where that leads.)
Meanwhile, after the mandates were dropped, there persisted the issue of nurses who wanted to get back to work, were seeing adverts for jobs they were fully qualified, willing and able to do (sometimes these were the same jobs they were sacked from, eg long-term vacancies), but were unable to even reach a shortlist for interview stage, because of their ‘non-compliance’ (with the jab). Remember some of these individuals actually took the first dose, but because of an adverse reaction, could not take another.
Let’s look at this phenomena a little more closely.
Here (below) is an example of current advert for a position that is available for qualified and registered New Zealand nurses:
And a nurse applying for this position, will need to complete an initial application form, usually online.
This application form (see below) contains all the usual details of qualifications and experience. But then it asks for the individual’s ‘vaccination’ status. This is a screen-shot of an example of an application form, dated Nov 2022, with the relevant question underlined:
And of course in the Job Description for jobs like these, you will see the requirement to be registered with, and adhere to, the auditing and surveillance set through the New Zealand Nursing Council (example below):
So as you’d expect some sanity from an entity like the Nursing Council, let’s return to that Nursing Council’s guidelines on ‘vaccines’ to remind ourselves of its stance on this topic:
So you will see from the para in red above that although the Government mandates on nurses was lifted wef 26 Sept 2022, the Nursing Council insists employers may still have requirements in place. And yes, the employer - Health New Zealand [Te Whatu Ora] - DO (still) have a ‘vaccine’ policy in place, for newly-recruited staff - even though (as I explained in the linked post above) - this policy is not based on any evidence - the ‘evidence’ it supplied paradoxically contradicted its claim.
But what about the nurses who were repeatedly trying to apply for these jobs, after the mandates were dropped, but prior to this (fraudulent) ‘pre-employment vaccination policy’ was published (and then questioned) in June 2023?
The response during that time was that each of the regional District Health Boards (as they were called then) had their own policies in place. But to date these have not been transparent (for perhaps the same reasons as the Te Whatu Oru policy is not transparent). Some nurses asked for details of this (non-existent) policy and were told it was ‘oral’ or ‘recorded in meeting minutes’. But if course, it wasn’t.
Importantly, some mandated-out nurses in the Wairarapa district (that’s the region to the East of our capital, Wellington) it has come to light that there was no such ‘pre-employment vaccination policy’ in place at all. (Wairarapa is the South of North Island):
This is because, in response to another OIA, Te Whatu Ora has admitted that information (from Wairarapa) ‘does not exist’:
So to sum-up:
The New Zealand healthcare workers’ ‘vaccine’ mandate was implemented in Nov 2021 and insisted all (existing) staff were injected with the experimental gene treatment.
Um, that is, except from those special staff members (between 6 - 11,000 in total, nationally) who were secretly ‘exempted’ - see here for details of that.
When the ‘vaccine’ mandates were lifted for New Zealand nurses, nearly a year later, in Sept 2022, many mandated-out nurses were welcomed back to the same (or similar) jobs, because no mandate was in place and the ‘pre-employment policy’ did not (yet) stipulate any covid19 injection(s). In fact, it wasn’t until June this year, that the long -awaited, formal (nonsensical) Covid19 policy from Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) was published. And even then, it can often be overruled with an appropriate (equally nonsensical, tokenistic) ‘risk assessment plan’.
So over the past 2 years, many of those mandated-out nurses have tried (some successfully, others not so much) to get back into the work in their chosen profession.
Because some areas have more stringent rules than others, some have been prevented from even obtaining an interview or being shortlisted for a job, because of their ‘vaccination’ status - even though the patients in their area are desperate for their skills and expertise.
In fact, the ongoing hypocrisy seen in the PR campaigns of these NZ healthcare sectors is nauseating beyond words, proclaiming how ‘respect’ and ‘equity’ are everyday ‘values’ - for instance this:
The 1984 bureaucracy that continues to prevent nurses (and other professionals) from obtaining jobs in New Zealand is indeed Orwellian. We continue to all be gaslit by our (soon-to be-gone) PM, claiming the mandates never existed and ‘everyone made their own choices’. And as I have described above, sometimes the claimed evidence or even the policies themselves have been memory-holed.
Meanwhile, our healthcare sector is broken and waiting lists continue to grow.
Will our imminent General Election - the result is this weekend - begin to address this catastrophe? Where will we even start to repair the damage done to people’s hearts and homes, families and friends?
Thank you for ensuring the truth is shared.
