I am reminded of how US foundations supplied thousands of books on post-modernism (there is no absolute truth) to the 'developing world' to eliminate socialist thinking. You might not agree, but socialism points to the root cause of inequalities and there have been varied experiments to re-distribute wealth. Most of those in developing countries like in Nicaragua in the 80s have been crushed by the West. Tinkering around with AI powered education is a Western band aid at best, but as you say, so much more sinister and unregulated.

My own PhD was partly post-modern in approach! In the 15 years since, academia has got lost in its own bs, and will implode. Of that, I have no doubt.
