The rise (and fall) of covid-era 'celebrity experts' spouting 'the science'.
A new movie about New Zealand's purple-haired covid-era propagandist claims she's a 'feminist' leader.
I wrote recently about my experience of emailing our NZ covid era ‘expert’ Dr Siouxsie Wiles. This was after Dr Guy Hatchard pointed out how Wiles was publishing opinion pieces in the NZ-Gov-funded and appropriately-named ‘Stuff’ media outlet. She supported US pro-jab health ‘Expert’ Dr Peter Hotez, who despite $millions on offer to a charity of his choice, insisted he thought it was a virtue to refuse to enter into a legitimate debate (about the ‘vaccine’.). Here’s my post from back then:
And today I’ve learned that a ‘independently-funded’ (I think we can guess who by) documentary called ‘Ms Information’ is about to be released that portrays Dr Siouxsie Wiles as some kind of courageous feminist martyr, for all that ‘safe and effective’ and ‘life-saving’ advice that she gave to us New Zealanders. Jeez. Oh, and let’s not forget also, all the mis- and dis- (and mal-) information that she confidently dismissed with a flick of her toxic-pink hair.
In an article this week on the University of Waikato’s website, Phillida Perry, who co-produced Ms. Information, says about Dr Wiles:
“[she’s] an unconventional female leader distilling and communicating science into easy-to-understand messages for the public.”
Unbelievable. For ‘easy-to-understand messages, read ‘patronising, anti-science BigPharma propaganda’.
Some may remember all that nauseating propaganda ‘entertainment’ we were also all treated to during that era, like this wonderful musical ‘rap’ that Siouxsie starred in - undoubtedly this would have enticed anyone to hip-hop along to their nearest jibby-jab-centre for their next dose (3 mins)? -
(almost as bad as the "Vax-scene" from Colbert that we can’t stand even looking at).
Even a year ago, Siouxsie was claiming that lockdowns should not be lifted and should be ongoing with extra restrictions and testing in place. Inevitably she refused to answer any questions about the legitimacy of the ‘testing’ or the safety of the ‘vaccine’ (5 mins):
The psychosis goes so deep, and has been ongoing now for so long, it’s difficult sometimes to see whether people are being genuine, or simply lying to cover their backsides. If you study some of Siouxsie’s statements in the press, it would seem she’s unsure of many of the details (Cts) of the tests or the unethical elements of the ‘guidelines’. Ironically, she was guilty of breaking the previous lockdown rules herself, but of course we heard nothing about that from the legacy media.
Her approach is reminiscent of many of these ‘experts’ and politicians, who assumed the rules didn’t apply to them (let’s be honest, they didn’t). The UK Health Minister Matt Hancock, for instance, during the covid era, later starred in a TV show ‘Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ to apparently use as a stage to spout his fake public apologies about the Lockdown Files which revealed him breaking the rules, pathetically claiming it was because “he fell in love” (10 mins):
So what does this new NZ ‘documentary’ about Dr Wiles show us, apart from the desperation of the NZ Gov, NZ-Gov-funded-media and her University to keep the narrative running as long as possible…?
Our local community-owned cinema has been busy with many booked-out showings for weeks presenting the various recent Freedom movement-type movies - from We Came Here for Freedom, to Sound of Freedom, to the River of Freedom, not to mention other one-off showings of Battleground Melbourne. Will this doco have a similar level of interest?
I have to be honest, I couldn’t even bring myself to watch the whole trailer (below link), so sitting through 90 mins of some kind of delusional ego-trip for this pseudo-expert would be too much to bear.
However, if she made a personal appearance, now that COULD be worthwhile attending….what do you think?
In conclusion, this film looks like a satire, but it isn’t. I cringe when I see these ‘experts’ in amateurish-looking, self-promotion pieces like this, for a cult that is so obviously exposed now (to most of us). She embodies the emperor without clothes. If you look at the various pleas for funding from Director Gwen Isaac and Producers Alex Reed and Phillida Perry, they seem genuinely in ‘awe’ of this woman. I pity them. Siouxsie, like Jacinda, has been put on a pedestal by some people - the inevitable result of the fear-mongering.
What will become of people like Wiles and Hancock - when they (and their naive and diminishing fan-club) finally discover the truth?
What was that book called...
Thinking fast and slow
Unfortunately, most don't want to think slow anymore
Instead they're mesmerized by symbols, simplicity, brands and bright colours.
Sales pitches and marketing.
Feminist. Pink hair. Younger. Hip. She's on TV.
She must be right they think.
Woo
I was in NZ March - July 2020, and remember rebuking myself after seeing this lady on television speaking on behalf of the government about Covid. “She might not look like a serious scientist“ I said to myself, “but things are different over here, so I will judge her by results”.
Well, I did, and the results were terrible. So my first heavily prejudiced reaction was the correct one. For scientists, it is all about the data and revealing things which are true. For social justice activists it is all about themselves, “their truth” and getting things politically and socially aligned with their contemporaries.
