Who decided whether 'vaccine' mandate exemptions were granted or denied in New Zealand?

During the covid-era craziness, there were 2 ways to obtain an official 'exemption' from the unethical law - who oversaw that bureaucracy?

The New Zealand Covid-19 Public Health Response (Vaccination) Order (2021) initiated the ‘vaccine’ mandates that were applied across public sector workers, including e.g. healthcare, border control, corrections and education. It was in place (in varying forms) from Nov 15 2021 until Sept 26 2022. As a result of this policy - and the associated MSM propaganda - most staff members and the general public, understandably, assumed that every public sector worker (who was still in a job) was fully compliant and ‘on board’ with the “Safe & Effective” narrative.

But that definitely was NOT the case.

Prior posts here and elsewhere have revealed that probably between 6,700 and 11,000 healthcare sector workers alone (that could be approx 14% of the healthcare workforce), had been granted an exemption under the Order (IMHO it seems likely, looking at the bureaucracy involved, that those exemptions were all taken up). NB I’m not aware of any data on the other public sectors involved.

Legal Stuff:

Clause 12a (4) a (i & ii) of the Order declared that from a Health and Safety perspective, a staff member could be exempted from the Order, either if there were personal medical reasons (but not the obvious ones - see below), OR if there was a risk of ‘Significant Service Disruption’ (SSD) - ie that the staff member’s skills were such that they could not (easily) be replaced by anyone else.

Two so-called ‘expert’ Panels were established by the New Zealand Ministry of Health to oversee each of the exemption processes in respect of affected healthcare and disability workers. The Terms of Reference of the Temporary Medical Exemptions Panel for the COVID-19 Vaccine was approved by the Director-General of Health - at that point Dr Ashley Bloomfield - on 5 November 2021.

The exemptions were only temporary, and granted for a maximum of 6 months. Many people applying at the beginning of this craziness would be hopeful that the insanity would be long gone by then. Sadly, that proved NOT to be the case.

Briefly then, let’s have a look at a Court affidavit for the criteria of those who were excluded from applying:

Does this criteria seem ethical to you?

Or based on any clinical evidence?

Is it patient-centred or in the interests of public health?

Next, let’s look at who were the people sitting on these so-called ‘expert’ panels:

I haven’t yet had a chance to look at these “Terms of Reference” but it seems strange that on top of the known numbers of exemptions granted (especially for the SSD category - ie between 6,700 - 11,000 people) that there is also clearly many staff members (who was this ‘independent chair for example?) who were involved in reading through, discussing and making a judgement on these applications for exemptions. The power of these gatekeepers should not be underestimated.

These are judgement that were to make a potentially devastating impact on people’s lives.

Where are all these people now? One wonders….were they also exempted themselves?

The penultimate line above has a typo - it is meant to say ‘origin’ of the exemption (?) But wait, isn’t this application process specifically for ‘health or disability workers’ - as set out in the Application form (via the Wayback machine)?

Although an application form was needed for each individuals, one could submit a ‘risk management plan’ for a role which could be represented by more than one staff members.

For those with an application granted, it seems likely an NDA (gagging clause) was attached to it. Where are the details of those, if they exist?

It seems strange to think that these strangers, on these ‘expert panels’ were sat around - probably on a ‘Zoom’ meeting - deciding the fates of their fellow New Zealanders. These were fellow healthcare workers in many cases. And yet where are these people today? Two years on and we are still learning about these processes, the lies and the hidden information.
